Hi All, I thought I would get the ball rolling with the 2017 Kingston SE trip. Last year was an amazing experience and we're up for it again in January. Now please do not let all the politics with the Blokarter put you off, the Clay Pan (Lake Nadzab) is plenty big to share as it covers an area of approx 600 hectares. I have been looking at the calendar and for me, its a later start for Term One of school, so arriving on Saturday 14th January, leaving on Saturday 28th January 2017 is a possibility for Doug and myself. Staying at Kingston Caravan Park, the same plot as before. Lets see what you are all thinking...... Mez

However to the topic Andrew and I have hit 7 Mile twice in the last couple of weeks about the same amount as in the last few years and we're going again today, I've notified a few others and seeing if there's are interested lookers here. 11am to 5pm on October 15 is the Harden Kite Festival. Harden is situated in NSW about 100km North West of Canberra. There are lots of events, market stalls and competitions planned for the day. Website here: http://hardenkitefestival.org/ From the looks of Google maps it's a very open and large area to fly in and there appears to be more than enough room for some buggying or landboarding too. I could be talked into a road trip..... Google map link..... Google Map

I've gone through and looked at the Autumn tides for Waratah Bay, spotting the best days available for us to land kite. We can either do day trips down there, or quick over-nighters staying in the Waratah Bay Caravan Park. Subscribe/Follow this topic to keep up to date etc.

Ivanpah Buggy Expo 2016 (IBX formally NABX)"This is an event by and for the kite traction community and to include all others that enjoy the power of the wind. Everyone that attends, adds their personality to the community on the playa. When you leave, you’ve shared a bit of yourself and gained something from the rest of us (and maybe a little dust)."IBX2016 Website: http://www.ivanpahbuggyexpo.com Discussion thread for the IBX2016 Event. Not sure if there's any Australians going this year but it would be good for us to get planning to make an appearance the following year now that some of us have The Moose Meet as our 2016 international trip. Though…

Unfortunately I could not bring my land board but I brought down my Peter Lynn Synergy 12m. Anyone have a spare hour or two that I could share/borrow your landboard? Happy to swap kites to try if you like. Cheers

Good low tides around .08m for 4pm on Saturday and 5ish on Sunday are forecast for the weekend 20/21st. Suppose to be pretty hot inland on the Saturday which may make for afternoon sea breezes. Keep an eye on the wind forecast.

Just wondering if anyone is available on Friday or Saturday? Need someone who can fly depower kites to help with some photos. Require a big open space so I'll come to you if that's easier.
